Dueling Dragons

Do you want to go shopping?

Who even goes to the mall anymore? Unless you need to buy something you don't actually need, are a high school girl hoping to run into your crush, or want to drop your child off on the mall train (one way ticket please!), you really have no business going to the mall. But I shouldn't talk, I was just there last weekend.

Before I knew what was going on, I was led into the mall by a burly sort of man. He was dark, had rippling muscles and dark hair that just passed his shoulders. Let's call him Maui. Soon after, another man tried kidnapping me from Maui by grabbing my arm. This one was very tall, with toned muscles covered in porcelain skin. His hair was ruffled and blonde. Let's call him Erik.  Maui grabbed hold of my other arm and for a moment I thought the two men were going to tear them off. Instead, with flaming eyes they stared each other down and threw my arms down at the same time.

That's when they transformed into dragons.

I fell back against a mall directory and looked up at the enormous creatures that were just barely touching the ceiling. Maui had turned into a deep crimson dragon, striped with glowing orange stripes. When I looked closer I realized the glowing was coming from the fire within him. He was the most intimidating and ferocious animal I had ever seen.

Erik had turned into a massive sapphire dragon that was crested with yellow spikes down his back and tail. Each of his movements caused a glittering ripple effect from his scales. It reminded me of a sparkling sea that reflected the night sky and its endless stars. He was already a beautiful man, but as a dragon he was absolutely stunning.

And then the dragons started to fight in the food court.

Crimson and sapphire melded together as they swirled around in the air, creating a tornado of beauty and death. I ran into a G.A.P to avoid being burnt to a crisp, being spiked, or trampled on. In moments of what felt like mere seconds, Maui came running in after me. He was in human form, but was wounded badly and breathing deeply. He opened his mouth as if wanting to tell me something, but he didn't have time. A yellow-spiked sapphire tail slithered in through the doorway, wrapped around Maui's waist, and dragged him back into the food court.

I ran for my life out of the G.A.P, and that was the last I saw of the dueling dragons.
