Why do I love to read?
I didn’t learn to read until I was about 8 years old, which surprises most people that know me now. Although initially a challenge, it was overcome with practice, encouraging parents, and a prize to win free tickets to Six Flags. I’m an avid and voracious reader these days, but it wasn’t always that way. Just a few years ago, I could hardly finish a book in under 3 months. So when friends ask me, “How do you find the time?” and “Don’t you get bored?”, I can’t give them a one-size fits all answer - everyone is different and so much more are their preferences and lifestyles. The best I can offer is why I personally, love to read:
