My Mother bought me this book for Christmas. I had never heard of it before, and it took awhile for me to pick it up to read. Eventually I got there and was very surprised when I realized the story involved time travel. Without giving too much away, Oona (main character) is about to turn 19 years old. However, when she turns 19, she wakes up in the future in her 51 year old body. From then on, each of her birthdays jumps to another year she has not lived yet (so her body age is always random, and her mind age is linear).

It took me a bit to understand what was going on and because I’m me, really wanted to understand the science of how this happens. But this book isn’t meant to explain any of that - it’s more about the experience Oona is going through. Once I accepted this, the book was really fun, interesting, and different. It was refreshing to have something new in regards to a time travel book.

I’d recommend this as a beach/summer read!
