There are so many things I did not know about Kelly Bishop. For as long as I can remember, she has always been Lorelai’s Mom and that one Mom in Dirty Dancing. I picked up this audiobook on Spotify for another one of my daily walks, and I found myself immersed in her story. I literally stopped and gasped on the sidewalk a few times during this!
I was so delighted to learn how incredible of a woman she really is. And although it’s just a show, it’s made Gilmore Girls that much more real in my heart. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that Rory is naive and Lorelai could be pretty immature, so is Emily my favorite Gilmore Girl now? I am pretty upset that she confessed she is Team Logan, but perhaps another viewing after this book will finally convert me from Team Jess (No, I can never let that happen!).
But seriously, Bishop’s story is inspiring. She had a clear vision brought to life with perseverance, compassion, and staying true to her values. Love!
